Its biggest shareholders were the Polish National Railways and the Gdansk Shipyard. 1938Already after the first season, the builders and operators of the cableway to Kasprowy Wierch knew that the investment was 100% successful. One problem was the stopping of skiers in the Kasprowy area. The proposed solution was to build a lift that would allow more use of the ski resorts in the Kasprowy circuses. The first one was located in the Gąsienicowy Circus. The device consisted of two pairs of 16-seat sledges, mounted on a single cord driven by an electric motor. One sledge with the skiers went up while the other, usually empty, came down The lift was 300 meters long and covered a 125 m height difference at a slope of up to 70 degrees.
