FAQ Góra Żar

Downhill enthusiasts are frequent guests on the Żar Mountain. There are three downhill runs at the upper station: the Easy Line, 3.8 km long; the wide Air Line, 2.3 km long; and for the true pros: the downhill run: 2 km of technical cycling. Check out details at PKL Bike Parks on Facebook!

The routes have been prepared by professional companies. Remember that they require good equipment and skills. We do not recommend them to typical amateurs and recreational cyclists...

PKL has prepared special passes for bikers: all-day madness on the slope with no limits, or 10 rides for PLN70. Ready? Get your gear and go!

The peak is full of attractions for both kids and adults:

Kids can go on a toboggan run, eat ice cream and buy cool souvenirs. Older kids and adults are welcome to use the Monsterrollers - you can go down and feel the adrenaline rushing in your veins! Those who prefer to walk a few meters above the ground will enjoy the Trollandia rope park.

Everyone regardless of age will certainly be interested in exploring the Porąbka - Żar power station - one of the three such facilities in Poland. You can look at its work and learn how the electricity is produced. This is an active power plant - do not forget to check the opening hours for visitors and the conditions for entry to the premises!

At the top station you will also find telescopes, booths with regional products and some snacks. There are hiking and cycling trails that will take you to the enchanting corners of the Beskids. There are also beautiful views of the lake, mountains and majestic gliders! Keep your cameras handy!

Yes, a small dog held in an animal bag may enter with its carer. However, you must buy a separate ticket for your pet (at the lower station). If your four-legged friend is a bit bigger and traveling alone, please remember that it needs to wear a muzzle and a leash.

Of course! We invite whole families with children of all ages - even babies. Baby pram - free.

Yes, people in wheelchairs can ride up the carriage. The pricelist does not offer reduced tickets, so you have to buy a normal one. You will pay less if you are a pupil or a student (i.e. when you have the right to discount tickets) as well as persons over 65 years of age.

There are three options:

1.      You can walk along the railroad track. It's a dirt road, so take good shoes.

2.      You also have the whole ski slope (only in the summer, of course). Here you will also need mountain shoes.

3.      You can take the asphalt road closed for traffic. It is about 6 km long and goes to the very top.

And if you do not want to get tired and muddy, feel free to use our cableway. It will take you to the top comfortably in a few minutes.

If you do not like to walk and want to park your car as close as possible, then you can leave it at the lower station. It's a private parking and PKL has no effect on prices.

If you want to pay less, come up a little higher. There you will also find a place to leave your car.
