In winter both skiers and snowboarders go wild on Mount Żar. The former are attracted, among others, to timed slaloms, where they can try to beat their own records or compete against friends. Competitions are frequently held here. Snowboarders appreciate good preparation of the routes (regularly groomed with snow cats, artificially snowed and lit after dark) and their profiles (over 300 m height difference and 1.3 km to drive). The cable line operating here is fast and capacious, transporting up to 1,200 people per hour, so it’s a short wait until you reach the top.
